Hi Sub.

Anytime I am watching live tv in the client and I click settings and then devices and channels... within a few seconds the client stops and pops up the attached message... The tuner you are using was required for a recording.....

But nothing is being recorded or watched in the browser.... sounds like either an incorrect message or a bug.

Just thought I would pass it on for the fix list.

Edward

Ok. I will be home later today.  The sequence is guaranteed to happen every time from my experiments.  click client settings> then devices/channels... the browser window the client requested opens,  then you realize the client in the background has stopped the live tv.. when you go to investigate one finds the message attached above has popped under the browser and is waiting for you.

Got it ... But its probably behaving that way by design ... NextPVR might be expecting you to be doing one thing at a time ... either watching Live TV ... or clicking about in the Web App ... but not both at the same time.

What happens if you start the NextPVR Web App from the address bar at the top of the web browser window ... Does that stop Live TV in nextpvr.exe?

Here is why logs are important.  Live TV playing over the screen you are having issues with.

I looked at the logs that you posted but did not find an error ... perhaps because you did not "tell us the time that the message appeared"

"Please recreate the problem ... attach logs to a post telling us the time that you saw the error so that we know where to look in the logs" ... he said, patiently.

I just had a look at my last message... somehow the text I added to go along with the logs has vanished.   So starting over... I tried to say that here is the log you wanted.  I ran the client through the steps listed in my first post.  When the client tv stopped and the message popped under I then zipped the log files.  So the funny message appeared most likely at the time stamp on the log file or maybe 1 or at most 2 minutes earlier.  that is about exact as I can get.  I ran the client for the sole purpose of recreating the seemingly odd message.

Now one other thing.. Graham typed that he is looking for error messages.  I never wrote that my client gives an error message in my first post... simply that a message pops up and posted what I saw.

Hope that helps.

Gotcha ... I see this in nrecord.log timed just before the npvr.log abruptly ends ...

The "Live stream expired ..." message might indicate a problem ... but I don't know what it means.
