The reviews said that NextPVR was difficult to set up, but worth it. I'll say. It is a wonderful program.

But I may still need to tweak the setup.

Shortly before the time for the recording, I tried to log in, but could not connect to NextPVR. I restarted the service and it is working. However, I'd like it work without me having to restart it.

I am using a Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD tuner. I moved the server and the antenna and rescanned to get a better list of channels. I had a bear of a time getting the two devices to scan and merge. One device on the tuner recognized 55 channels. The other saw 80. I don't know what I did, but it eventually merged and mapped and worked. But then it failed on an unattended recording attempt with the message: "[Failed: Channel not found. Deleted?]" It has recorded from the same channel before and after stopping.

Logs attached. Do they indicate anything I need to change to keep it running and finding all the channels?
Bob

As PVR backends go NextPVR is pretty easy.  You added complexity by choosing Linux instead of Windows.  Now you might be having driver or signal issues, Hauppauge drivers do often work better on Windows.

At this point I would focus on getting just one single tuner working with constant channel scans to we how stable that is.

Are you using an indoor antenna?

The tuners in computer devices are reported to be less sensitive than the tuners in a TV.  Typically, computer tuners require a better broadcast signal than a TV.

Do you get the same quantity of channels found if you do a scan two or three times at different times in a day? It usually indicates a borderline signal f scans vary.
