Kodi 19 Recordings

New recordings/in process recordings do not show up on Kodi 19.  I have to restart Kodi or clear data to get them to show.  This wasn't the case with Kodi 18.9.

I also see this behaviour. Recording that are in progress only appear in the recordings folder when they have finished recording. If you close and reopen Kodi while the program is recording you'll see the entry in progress

Fair enough, I take it only kodi logs required?

Interestingly when trying to reproduce the issue i started recording a program that had already started and that appeared in the recordings list. I've now set a timer for something that starts in 20mins which I'm expecting won't appear in the list until I either restart Kodi or the recording finishes

The recording has just started and also appeared in the recording list so it must be a more unusual set of circumstances that makes it occur. Will keep an eye out and try and reproduce but I've definitely had in progress recordings that do not appear in the recordings list until kodi is restarted or the recording finishes.

Kodi debug logs plus NextPVR logs are always best. I need to be able to create a test scenario to duplicate the issue, since as you found simple testing doesn't always catch it.

PM sent with logs link. I made a 2 minute manual recording and it didn't show up until the recording was over.

If I start a recording from the guide context menu of an in-process recording, it will show instantly in the recording list. It seems to fail in my case with scheduled programs.

I don't support via PM but I had a look, and will post questions here. Importantly that was not a Kodi debug log.

I do see the request to save the recording and a request from Kodi to get the new recordings

I suspect NextPVR isn't populating the recording list immediately after the save since it goes to SD to get art after Kodi makes the call, but sub would need to comment on that and he will need those logs too (another reason PM is bad). NextPVR is updating correctly.

If NextPVR does update the list immediately then it appears to be a Kodi issue, the addon seems to be doing its part.

Let me know if you need more information.
I'm going to try a fresh 19 install on a new FireStick 4k and see if it helps. I've had some weird issues with the 19 I upgraded on top of 18.9. I have to restart or clear pvr data too much.

I pretty sure it is a Kodi issue not NextPVR. I did some testing here and know better what to look for and updated my previous post, to show NextPVR is sending the new recording in the list.
