From within Kodi I had scheduled the recording of the F1 race. I saw the message on the screen saying "recording completed" (about 3 hours later) at the appropriate time. So I attempted to watch it.  After approximately 22 minutes the recording must have failed because the video stopped. The length is only 22 minutes long even when played in VLC and Nextpvr Desktop.  Admittedly I have only been using this to watch tv for a short time but I haven't had issues with streams being interrupted.  But there do seem to be issues with watching current recordings and watching completed recordings though. I'm wondering if I have bad settings for transcoder / decoder / chunk sizes / other... Is there a way to record in another file format? ... Just had another thought that it could it be my computer going to sleep after 20 minutes.  But it's a desktop HTPC and is set to Never sleep.

Also, curious about the "Live TV method" in Kodi... If I apply the trasncoded method and allow timeshift, some channels allow me to pause live tv and others do not.  The pause button simply isn't present. But with straight timeshift pausing always works... Resuming from paused is a little sketchy though.

There is a bug in NextPVR in that it doesn't report IPTV failures correctly. Are you making sure to only use NextPVR access your IPTV provider

It seems it failed for an undermined reason at the source, you'd need to contact your provider.

2021-04-18 08:24:24.894 [DEBUG][74] HTTP input source starting
2021-04-18 08:24:25.255 [DEBUG][74] Unexpected error in HTTP input source: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (409) Conflict.

I don't see a transcoded play attempt in the kodi log.

How long you pause is configurable by default the scrollback buffer is 18 minutes, anything longer is going to be "sketchy".

@matt77303 without logs there is no problem. Many IPTV providers aren't geared up to high volume events so they will always be tricky to record. IPTV is not broadcast quality.

I doubt that the issue was the race or the broadcast or channel or whatever.  I think there's something wrong with how my computer is trying to record or something. The .ts files seem to either be corrupted timelines, or recording failed altogether.  This is the first time I set something up to record for practical use.  Any idea where I can watch the race? Please don't spoil the result!! haha.

Nope, like I just posted it is the nature of IPTV to be crappy under high load. NextPVR might be able to identify the errors better but it can't fix the problems at the source.

I'm pretty sure.  I installed Tivimate on my google tv. But wasn't accessing it at the time.

Would you mind taking a quick peek at these logs? I got a more reliable provider and recorded a test show that probably isn't too heavily watched at the moment ("Ted's Handbook"). The video file/recording still has something wrong. The file in VLC has a total length of 27 minutes or so... But it can continue to play past it. The recording should have been 1.5 hours i think. Anyway, I couldn't see the errors that were in the last one. But I'm still not the best at reading these logs. The recording was at 11:00 or so.
