Unable to connect to remote server problem at startup

Hi there,

I've just done a fresh install of Kodi and NextPVR V5 all is working great, except upon first booting the computer, in Kodi I receive this message "addon couldn't be loaded".

Upon loading NextPVR it says "Unable to connect to remote server" although the service does start after a couple of minutes or so and all is okay again.

I'm not sure if I've changed something in the NextPVR settings (have attached log files) which delays startup of NextPVR perhaps?

I wasn't going to reply because you didn't include the required Kodi debug log since from this log everything is fine. It could be a Windows issue and you need to disable delayed start for the NextPVR Service.

Many thanks for your help, all working again! 

Made the change to NextPVR (regarding the delayed start) as you suggested, which in turn has automatically resolved the issue with Kodi.

I'm not sure how or why the NextPVR service was on delayed start. I have only just installed Windows again, installed NextPVR and then Kodi so unsure as to why this setting or change has been made. Made a few changes to the NextPVR settings menu but that's been it and haven't come across this scenario with a Windows and NextPVR install before.

Setting delayed start is new in V5 and is a good idea since it allows the network and tuner devices to start before NextPVR. Unfortunately I feel Windows startup is poorly designed and some users do get a really slow start. It still means your system is not fully ready, just unclear what is not ready.
