WebApp Scheduler/Pending Recordings Not Defaulting to selected directory

I have 3 choices for the target directory when I add new recordings.  In the WebApp, I can add a new individual recording (i.e. record once, not recurring) from the TV Guide and can select the desired recording directory.  However, when I click on the on the resulting item in the WebApp on the "Scheduler/Pending" screen, the directory shown on the details is always the first one in the list -- not the one that was actually selected.  This would appear to be an issue with the dialog's initialization because the recording will still occur in the directory that was initially selected.  Also the details for the recording do appear correctly in the Desktop app.

I think this is a bug since the the selected directory does show correctly for recurring items that are on the Pending screen.  This can make planning recordings from the WebApp difficult because, for me, one the target directories is a ramdisk with limited space.  I can never tell where a recording is actually going to be saved.

Another user identified this recently https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid556129 and there is already fix in Kodi for the upcoming server release I don't know what sub's plan for the web app are, but I assume it will make it there eventually too.

Note using this on a recurring recording, the next EPG update will override the change so you need to wait until the last moment.

Thanks. The other post seemed to be about Kodi and this was about the WebApp. But I guess it could be the same underlying cause.

Actually, concerning what you said about recurring recordings, if you change the recording directory for an individual episode of a series on the Pending page, you change it for the entire series, not just the episode. So it really doesn't matter whether you change it at the last minute or not. I posted about that particular issue before and it didn't seem to get traction. But maybe I was misunderstood. So when I want to change the directory for an individual episode and not for the series, I do it in the Desktop app (at the last minute). Of course, that's not a option if I'm not home at the time. So, sometimes, it is necessary to temporarily change the directory for a series to get an episode to the right place and then remember to change it back for the series later. But in the whole scheme of things, that's a pretty minor issue.

In any event, hopefully we will eventually see a fix for this regarding one-off recordings.

And just to be clear, I continue to be very thankful that NextPVR exists. The most reliable DVR software I've come across.

Ok as long as you do it in the desktop app or UI client at the last midnight you should be ok.

If you have to do this too often rethink the rule. Also you can always move a recording after the fact in the desktop app or UI client.
