Manual insert to EPG_EVENT not showing in Kodi

Hi, 

I added some channels to NextPVR and since I don't have an epg source I went ahead and inserted into the database using DB Browser. I can see the channels and correct epg info in the NextPVR web app as well as Emby. The channels show up in Kodi but there is no guide info.

Would anyone have any ideas of where to look to help troubleshoot this?

I figured it out after some trial and error. The channel table had nothing in the epg_source and epg_mapping. I inserted XMLTV to the epg_source and

<epg>
<source>XMLTV</source>
</epg>

to epg_mapping.

Restart the NextPVR server and reset the PVR database in Kodi setting.

I strong advise against manually inserting channel.. Why don't you do it in NextPVR?

You should: 
- Refresh EPG Data

- Check Kodi EPG Settings

- Verify EPG Data in NextPVR

- Clear Kodi Cache
