I know that this entry in the config.xml sets how many days NEXTPVR will "remember" a recorded program after it has been deleted and therefore not record it again. And I know the default value is 90.  I currently have it set to 1.  But I was wondering what would happen if I set it to 0.  If (for example) I had S02E10 of a show recorded and I deleted it, would it record it again even if it aired 10 minutes after I deleted it?  I have "record all episodes" selected.  Before I delete the file, that episode would not be flagged to be recorded, but after I delete it, would I have to open NextPVR and do something or would NextPVR automatically set the show to be recorded immediately after I delete it, with no further input from me?

Also, do I have to delete the show from within NextPVR for the episode to record again, or can I just delete it using Windows Explorer?

One other question, what happens if S02E10 of a show has been recorded and has not been deleted, then I manually go in to NextPVR and in the TV Guide section click the S02E10 episode (which would not be set to be recorded since I already have it) and set it to be recorded.  Will it delete the existing recording and write over it, or will it save it with a new name?

The reason I ask this is that I have been trying to record a 2 parter (30 minute each episode) for a while.  The problem is that the network will air the episodes back to back and they have the exact same listing.  Even thought one is really S02E10 and the other is S02E11, they show them both as S02E10 and both with the same name for the episode.  So it will flag the first one for recording, but not the second one because it thinks it already has it recorded.  I thought I could just go in and double click the recording for the first part and set the post padding to 30 minutes so that I would have a single 1 hour recording with containing both parts, but it seems NEXTPvr set that back to the default value and only recorded the first 30 minutes.

Thank you!

I'm not sure i ever tested it set to zero. I suspect it'll currently behave the same as setting it to 1. (since it clears the old history once a day).

I've made a slight tweak for the next v5 build, which doesn't store it in the history if it's set to 0 at the time.

It's not going to overwrite an existing file. If you're using season/episode naming, and there is going to be a clash, it'll add a "-number" to the end of the filename.

It's worth noting, this remembered history only applies to recurring recordings. There is nothing to stop you going into the guide and scheduling the second part of this show as a one-off recording.

Thank you! Now that I know that it won't write over the existing recording, I will just set it manually to record.
