Recording description display

When you display the details of a recording with a long description, the words spill outside the box, see attached screenshot.

Hi,

I have just installed 5.2.1.20211003 and the text now does not spill outside the detail window but I can't get to the second page of the description - when I press the remote right arrow I go straight to the cast/crew screen.

Also, we used to see the Series info (SxxExx) in the detail window and that is no longer shown - and I found it very useful.

Can I add that the new UI is a great imrovement on the previous one!

I see them on recordings and the guide popup. Do you mean the bottom details on the guide?

I guess you have extremely long descriptions. I can confirm that but I never read that much myself, do you?

I'm guessing he means in the details section on the right half of the screen when in the recordings list. The top (title) line used to include the same info as title in the list (i.e. "Show: Subtitle (SxxExx)"). But in that detail window, the subtitle was listed right under the title, so it was redundant, and sub adjusted it in this latest version.

Sub: on the recording list screens, in the details pane on the right, can you prefix the Subtitle (blue line) with the (SxxExx) if available just like you do on the details pop-up? I'm not sure if that is a skin change or a backend code change.

Edit: While you're at it, can we also include the Original Air Date at the bottom of the long description in that pane? (Again, to match the pop-up details.)

Yeah, unfortunately you're right. The new graphics engine we're using is great for most stuff, but fairly limited around text rendering. I don't currently have a way to measure the size of multiline text, so the multi-page feature with long descriptions is currently disabled. Thankfully these long descriptions are not that common, but I'm still intending to resolve the issue in the near future. I'll be working through some newly report text rendering issues over the next few days.

Ok, I've fixed this. It's there for the next build. (likely next weekend)
