I've upgraded to your new build, and now recordings are populated again as well, so with this version I have this far not found any issues. So well done and thanks a lot.
My usage of Jellyfin is as a media organizer for Kodi, so Kodi is where I watch live tv etc. for the most part. However Jellyfin is very convenient when travelling or if I visit friends/family, or at quiet times at work. So that's when/where I use the live tv part of jellyfin. (where nextpvr of course is the tv backend in both cases).

@luguber the changes where accepted (based largely on your comments) and so they should be in the 10.8 release. Thanks for helping out.

I see the new version is available in the official repo already, as version 8.
I installed it and version numbering of the plugin is normal with this release. I guess that was the only remaining thing even though it didn't have any functional affects.
Thank you again!

Yes they told me that automation took care of the numbering. I probably complain too much about the Jellyfin team, they do a lot of things right too, and addons aren't their prime focus, I expect there are only a handfull of users.

Thanks for confirming it works.

Ive been running this for the past week. From a clean install on the latest jellyfin beta with the plugin from their repo. Working very well so far. No crashes, no yelling, no problems (the latest UIDroid app was causing reboots of the android tv boxes from time to time). Only thing I cant get it to pass thru is the EAC3 audio but thats not a biggie. Ive got it connected via two Android TV boxes (MiBox-s).

Thanks for the update, I didn't see any issue when the went to beta but that would be a 15 minute test. Jellyfin Live TV has really been unsupported since the MediaBrowser fork and never was as good as Emby but I am glad it is working for you.

I have had uidroid crash largely because of backend issues with libSkiaGraphics but subtitles give problems too but I don't recall crashing the box itself, a phone OS should never do that. I not have tested on the old MiBox so I will give it a try. I suspect you have too many apps installed, always a problem on Android, but remember my philosophy is without logs there is no problem.
