Hi all,

I'm having some problems with my NextPVR server and despite searching on the forums I haven't been able to find a resolution.

My setup is as this.

Single server/tv client NextPVR ( Version: 5.2.5.220111  ) running on Windows 10 with a fairly highly spec'd machine, SSD for Timeshift etc.

I then also have 4 Kodi clients using the NextPVR addon.

On the NextPVR server I have three USB DVBT connections along with one IPTV source.

Intermittently I get (on the server) the message that NExtPVR tuner was requried for a recording. On the Kodi side the streams just drop. I suspect it's the same issue.

I have on the Kodi side Do not allow guide update during playback enabled, and I also have NextPVR set to do an update at 0425 in the morning.

I've spent a bit of time on this today and I can't seem to find the issue, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Nick

This can be totally normal. Recordings take priority over live tv.

It basically depends what recordings are happening at the same time, or what recordings might be able to start in the near future. (ie, some times it can't move a recording off it's originally scheduled tuner because another recording is due to be using that other tuner in an overlapping time)

Sorry missing some key info - I should say there are no recordings scheduled.

Essentially I'm trying to figure out what's causing LiveTV to just stop.

Love the product by the way!

Cheers.

Ultimately you'd need to post the logs after it happens, so we can see what is going on at the time.

You don't have a very slow overloaded server? This can sometimes cause this message (after late renewal message)

Your best bet is to send the zipped logs when the problem occurs.

No the server is good spec. It's been happening all day today.

It's literally happened about 30 mins ago so if the logs would have that info I can send across to you now?

For info processor is Intel® Core™ i7-8650U CPU @ 1.90GHz  2.11 GHz
16GB RAM and an SSD for TImeshift disk (also OS). AV exceptions all in place etc.

Use the "Log Files" button on the web app Settings page to generate a .zip of the logs. Then post that zip file here.

Thanks

I've attached the logs with the failures that have occurred throughout the day, if it happens again I'll send those over.

Thanks

I can see an issue

2022-01-11 17:40:34.690 [DEBUG][71] method=channel.transcode.lease
...
2022-01-11 17:40:53.473 [ERROR][9] Live stream expired without 15 second renewal. (handle:260002)

Do you have a lot of IPTV channels or channels without guide data?
