Failed recording

I recorded an NFL game that started at 3:30 and was to finish at 7:00pm. Then at 7:00pm I had two recordings scheduled, one was another NFL game and the other a movie. When I tried to play the NFL recording in progress at about 7:30pm it only played for a few seconds. Later I found that the recording was only about 2.5MB. The movie recording did not seem to have any issue.

Hopefully the logs will indicate what went wrong.

I can't tell from tablet but it looks like NextPVR might be trying to use the tablo device 3 times.  Do you have other tuners set for those channels?

I only have the Tablo for those channels. My other tuner is QAM.

Maybe the first recording was not finished before the other two recordings started.

Do you have the Extra set as two devices?  The first football game should have been force stopped without post padding but I know that it went to the wire so NextEnd might have done something.  That is why I need a deeper look.

I don't know for sure, it should be. NExtPVR settings only shows one but I know I can use both Tablo tuners at the same

There are not enough generations of the TabloTV log to see what happened but I meant for you to look at the Extra and see how many instances are allowed, I think I set it up as two. The game ended before 1900 so NextEnd wasn't involved. Here are the 3 uses of the tuner. NextPVR seems to have been aware of the limit but it didn't stop the first game at 1900 as it should.

The first line of "extras-TabloTV SID_5087B820514D.xml" says <extras title="TabloTV" max_connections="2">

NextPVR settings also indicates Max connections is 2

Although NextPVR is incorrectly using more tuners than allowed I can't duplicate this. My Tablo accepts the request for the third tuner and the old m3u8 start to returns 404. I cannot explain why NextPVR's m3u8 downloader was working for a couple of seconds on a "new" playlist and stopped, there is no signal to the tuner to stop streaming.

I tried a similar scenario on my HDHR QAM tuner and had no issue.

Trying again to duplicate the failure using the Tablo. In about 30 min I'll find out how it goes.
