Hello again collective,

So, I am running Nextpvr with a Kodi client on a Onn android tv box and couldn't be happier, its almost perfect.

Now the bad news and question. I am running Mezzmo on a different computer and the Mezzmo android app is less than Steller and has playback issues. Since Mezzmo is a DLNA server is there a way to incorporate it into NextPVR somehow??

Now I know what your thinking, why not just incorporate it in to Kodi? Well I tried that too and found it terribly glitchy and not very easy to set up, even with the newest version.

Since Nextpvr is my daily one stop shop for my tv needs I would love to see or learn some options if this is already possible.  Anybody???

Thanks,
F.

If you are only using Kodi to get to NextPVR, then I would strongly suggest that you try out uidroid. It runs natively on the Onn Android TV box and gives you the NextPVR uiclient without the Kodi overhead. It works great.

It is not possible. I wrote a UPnP browser addon for older versions that no one used.

Externally sourced media can be incorporated in NextPVR by

- Creating a VOD list (only accessible via the web client)
- Importing video files as recording
- Playing media file through UI client libraries.

So I tried importing a video file into my recording directory but it does not show up.
I noticed that all the other files have a corresponding XML file. does this have something to do with it or am I missing something.

-Steps done-

1, created directory called movies in my recording drive
2 copied an MP4 into folder
3. went to "recordings" through the web UI.........folder and file not there.
4, moved the file to a folder already known by Next PVR to contain files I can see......sourced file still doesnt show up through web UI
also tried to see it through my android tvbox with kodi, also not seen

Thanks for any help,
F.

NextPVR doesn't support importing recordings that way, but you are off topic now. For importing my NextTool utility will work and you can import via the undocumented xml imports that the web browser allows. If you want help importing open a new thread.
