Hi,

It seems i can't find any channels on a Win-TV-HVR-4400 using dvb-t in nextPVR Windows 10.
It works fine on winTV and DVBViewer software.
I tried to scan channels in my region and "all countries/ all regions" but it doesn't find anything.

Thanks in advance for the help

Odd. There is no sign of any errors there. It's just like there is no signal.

Do you see your specific frequencies go past?

(FYI, I wrote the WinTV software for Hauppauge like 10 years ago, and I know it's not doing anything significantly different to NextPVR)

Yes the frequencies are the good ones.
When I run a scan in winTV I find that the frequencies are the same but I see next to the frequency +-166khz. Is it the offset? Is there a way to verify that it is the same in nextpvr ?

It's possible your card isn't auto locking the offset frequencies. Usually not required. NextPVR attempts to tune the center frequency, and a tuner would normally auto lock at +/-166MHz (or +/-125MHz in Australia). I can't remember how the HVR-4400 acts in that regard - maybe it was one of the few cards without drivers that take care of this automatically.

NextPVR does have functionality to explicitly try the offset frequencies, but I never got around to adding a setting for it, so there is no way for you to enable it.

For now you might need to create a new file in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-T, which has copied from one of the existing files, but modified for your local frequencies. Try editing the file to add 166 to all the frequencies. If that doesn't help, try removing 166 from the frequencies. ie, 506000, then 506166, then 505834.

If it is the offsets, I'll endeavour to get a setting added for enabling it.
