TBS 6909 - Only HD channels found

Hi, I'm trying NPVR v5 for the first time.

I have two DVBS2 cards connected to the same satellite. My TBS6984 finds all channels expected. My TBS6909 doesnt find any using the same details. The TBS6909 in DVBViewer finds all channels expected.

Any tips on additional config or would you need to see a log? The TBS6909 is an octa tuner card.

Did you scan the two devices or did you copy the 6984? If they devices aren't similar you may need to scan and merge.

Regardless, I would delete all the channel from the 6984 with the trash can and scan it so we can see the logs during the scan.

scanned the 6984 in full - 700 odd channels found. i kept 13 only for testing purposes

then repeatedly scanned a few tuners on the 6909 but primarily 5. most times once it failed on the first transponder i stopped it as i know it should find about 12 channels

you want me to rescan the 6984 and keep all the channels?

you don't want to see a fuller scan on the 6909 which is where the problem is?

If you scanned them both don't worry. I suspect it is the physical connection but sub may have better ideas.

ok i let it run through a complete scan on the 6909 and it did find some channels. only HD channels. found every HD channel but no SD channels. hopefully that helps with understanding what the problem is?

If you delete all the channels on the 6909 tuners, then scan on the TBS6984, then click an empty tuner on the 6909, and accept it's offer to copy those channels, do they seem to function correctly?

unfortunately not. copied my 13 channels to the 6909.

when the 6984 is higher priority all channels play, when the 6909 is higher only the HD channels play

What are they connected to in the way of LNBs?
