change temp folder

Hey, is it possible to change transcoding default folder from 'c:\users\public\npvr-data\web\temp' to RAMDisk? I was able to set live TV buffer to RAMDisk in webclient settings and I want to set transcoding temp files to go there as well.

No, but depending on your ramdisk software you might be able to make are soft link to the ramdisk.

I suspect unless you have a really old hard drive using a ramdisk won't make any noticeable difference and you are better off with the RAM. If it is SSD life (which are measure in Terabytes) you'd be surprised how many hours of Live TV that is.

Okay good to know, thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering about the SSD wear but I think you are right SSD should last for many years even 24/7 transcoding.
