I have several channel lists , one is a "local" list that I host on a local web server for nextPVR

I have painstakingly deleted, ordered and renamed channels.

Then I add a channel to the local list and re-scan that device (local list)

1) All of my custom names and channel numbers are forgotten after re-scanning.  These settings should be PERMANENT!

2) Deleted channels are re-added to the active channel list when in fact I specifically DELETED them they are not "NEW" channels. (keep in mind some lists we can not control as they may come from a web server somewhere else). Once I set a channel to not show it should NOT SHOW even after rescanning. There needs to be a different method for show/hide that survives a res-scan of device.

I posted this before and as I recall someone spoke of an option somewhere but I tried that option as I recall and it did not fix this particular issue.

There is this and the fact that all channels are (so annoyingly) selected by default when editing channels that tell me this interface is counter-intuitive from the get-go.

It seems not too well thought out and counter-intuitive in many areas.

Now I have to go and re-order (re-number) all of my channels AGAIN on my local list because I added ONE CHANNEL. This is a LOT of unnecessary work because a poorly thought out web interface.

These parameters should be held in a database somewhere and applied to any updated lists. 3rd party providers may update lists frequently

Why don't you simply restore the backup npvr.db3 file that you made before you tried rescanning?

I want to add new channels and I do not believe restoring a back up would do that
