Could you zip up your database and put it on cloud storage like OneDrive Google Drive or Dropbox.

Thanks @topcat I got the file and see my wrong assumption It seems you have a mix of DVB-S channels and DVB-T channels. Really I think it is for sub because I don't know the process well enough. Is it possible that when added the DVB-S device when presented with the option to copy the tuner you said yes? This option is only possible when the tuners are the same type.

If you may have copied and if you are willing to try something, I suggest opening the DVB-S device, holding the Ctrl key and deleting all the channels from it with the trash scan and rescan without copying. Then do the EPG update before merging.

Did you try my suggestion? If so could you PM me your database again?

Hi All
I am having a similar, if not the same problem: No Program guides. Absolutely nothing.
This is my first week with NextPVR- latest version, running on a Pi4 under ubuntu 22.04
Only one receiving device so far; a Hauppauge Nova S2.
I have taken out a trial week with schedulesdirect but so far, despite nearly following Einsteins definition of insanity "trying the same thing repeatedly expecting a different result' I have gotten nothing.
I say nearly as I have changed username and password to force a log-in fail the re-entered correct details. PLUS I have emptied EPG and then updated more than once.

I note that there appears to be a mix of EPG sources in my settings -> channels list - most are Schedules Direct but a few are Freesat(UK)
(see screenshot in ZIP attached - )

Would love to know what I am doing wrong.

If you are asking for support using Schedules Direct, you should have opened a new thread. I do see an issue where it looks like you need startup of NextPVR until your network is available. Search the forum for a script that helps with that for the RPi.

The Freeset channels will need to be manually mapped. If you wanted them changed to Schedules Direct you should have set the to None before automapping. Auto mapping doesn't change user setting that would be a nightmare. Fix those mappings and then update the EPG and send the logs again if it fails. You also might need to restart the server after mapping SD.

Another option is to import a XML file! I have been using NPVR since before there was a Freesat option so have been using EPGcollector to create a Freesat xml EPG file which is imported into NPVR!

@mvallevand
Apologies. I realise now that I should have started a new thread, especially as my issue relates to The RPi and not windows.
Having said that; having followed your suggestions I do now have channel info showing. Problem is; it's not what actually being broadcast.

@jcjefferies. Thanks for the suggestion. EPGcollector only runs on Windows and I do not have a Windows machine readliy available

@Heifer

You say the Guide doesn't match what is being broadcast. Is this in regard to nationally broadcast programs or regional programs ?  When setting up your Schedules Direct lineup(s) have you entered your postcode to get a line up which matches your regional programming rather than the National (or National Extended) lineups ? I live in an area of the UK where I can receive BBC London, BBC South East and BBC South programming.  I tend to use the You View lineups and in order to only get BBC South programming, which I prefer, I have to fool Schedules Direct by using a Basingstoke (RG21) postcode to only get BBC South programming.

Other than that I find SD, once setup to the correct region, works flawlessly for me on an RPi 4 running the latest version of NextPVR.

@ceejayemm

Hi Chris,
Thanks for responding.
I am new to this but old when it comes to other things, some might say decrepit! So a bit slow in in finding my way around. (although my first computer was a BBC B+)
I think what has compounded my difficulties is: when I got my Hauppauge Nova S2 to receive Astra2E I ended up with a list of well over 250 channels. I then went through deleting the ones I THOUGHT did not want/need. There was certainly a load of dross there! However it's more than likely I deleted ones I do want to watch - I am not sure this is a complete explanation as to why I am in trouble
BUT
I am hoping there is a way I can start again, maybe by adding just a few channels at a time, followed by linking the EPG info from SchedulesDirect.
I have not investigated this one yet.

Cheers

Steve
