unable to update TV guide

unable to update TV guide

I am using windows 10.   I have two drives.  One primary to be used for programs and the second drive used for files. I recently upgrade to a larger storage drive.  Now I can not update most of the TV guide.  channels 2-11 loads but there are others that show no show details.   In fact, before the manual update, I had no show details on all channels.

I just ran an update and it says:

EPG Update complete. [2315 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped]

Why am I missing the updates?

On the Settings->About page, there is a 'Log Files' button. It'll zip them up and download the file to your location of choice.

It looks like you're using the over-the-air ATSC broadcast EPG. Unfortunately in North America, they're only required to transmit like 6 hours of listings, and that is all that most stations transmit, so it's next to useless for PVR usage. ie, if you're updating the guide once a day, most of the day is going to have no listings.

Most people in that part of the world get a Schedules Direct account, which gives them much better listings (2 weeks into the future, season/episode numbers, artwork etc).

On the Settings->Channels page, what EPG source do you see listed next to your channels? If it's not Schedules Direct, then it's probably a case of needing to use the Advanced Tools -> Automap feature to map your channels to your Schedules Direct lineup.

Yep, like I said - you're using the ATSC EPG.

On the Settings->Channels page, try using the Advanced Tools -> Automap feature.
