I'm trying to troubleshoot and eliminate possibilities.

I use an IPTV service using an m3u8 playlist. The setup is right and it "works" fine. However, the IPTV streams drops randomly. It could be 2, 5, 29 minutes into a program and it cuts off. Then as I try to select the channel again it says there is a failure. Skin doesn't matter but I am using the Embuary skin for Kodi 19. Next PVR runs on a mini PC and I use raspberry Pi's to connect to the server. Anything relevant would be helpful.

Has this issue come up for anyone else

Post the logs, and a time the problem happened, and we'll take a look for the cause.

It's not uncommon for pirate IPTV services to be flaky though.

Ok, I will try to grab it as soon as possible. I am sure I sound incredibly naive but are these m3u8 sites pirated? This is something I've been trying and it worked great through VLC.

I don't know which m3u8 streams you're using, so can't tell you that. Probably though - most people using IPTV streams are using pirate streams (through an account with an IPTV provider).

If you're instead using steams from a public list, they can be better (like a legit stream offered directly from a TV station), or worse (like stream from someone else's account, which combined with normal reliability issues, also has limits on numbers of connections, and you never know when someone else is going to try watching them, bumping current users off the streams they're watching)

Often they look ok when you give quick try in a player, but that's not the same (for example) as being able to rely on a stream to work consistently for 60 minutes for a recording etc. ie, being able to reliably be used for PVR type usage with regular recordings.

I have Kodi running on PC and 2 different Pi's running 1 stream per. The 2 Pi's drop the streams

I think it is just what the topic says, one of your IPTV providers stops streaming and data wasn't available and then NextPVR couldn't reconnect (these show as ffmpeg errors, likely because the error message is being misinterpreted.)

What I do see is one of your Kodi client's is using transcoding not direct play there shouldn't be a need to transcode locally.
