I can not upgrade to version 5 as I have a ceton dvr.

Everything was working, but now my guide is empty....

I have enclosed my log files, can you help figure out what is wrong??

It looks like your npvr.db3 database file has been corrupted somehow

You could either delete npvr.db3, and try setting up your channels again from scratch, or google "fixing database disk image is malformed" and try some of the steps export/import or repair your database file.

Thank you for the help...
So I copied the empty.db3 put to erased all of my existing recordings as well as my scheduled items.

Then, I restored it from a 10/2 backup and the guide was empty again.
So I deleted all of the devices, and resetup the channels.
the guide is now populated, but it still will not record. Not sure what is going on...

That most recent log still looks like your database file is corrupt. Did you delete npvr.db3 and restart, then set it up from scratch?

I don't like this plan as it wipes all of my scheduled recording as well as all of the recorded items I already have!!

Is there a way to export the recording database ?
Or a way to rebuild the recording list?

I am going to try an older backup as well.

I restored an earlier backup, and can see the guide it is not empty, but fails when I try to record.

I can't have several corrupted databases, one from a month ago when I was having no problems.

So either some process of updating the epg, or some other issues is going on..
VERY frustrating...

I you send an external link to the file I can check what recovery I can do on it. You are using an unsupported version of NextPVR so I can't test it. Some user do use the Ceton post v4 put it is more complicated.

I tried to upload it here, but it kept failing...

This is from a backup 10/11 and the pvr worked fine for about a month after this backup...

I don't mind setting up with a blank file if there is away to keep the recorded shows...

Yes, the reason I asked you to use an external link was because I knew uploads here would fail.



I was able to restore it but didn't test it.  The event data was corrupt so it was not fine, but maybe recordings continued on future recording until they could no longer be scheduled.  Removing the event data made it small enough to post here.  Copy fixed.db3 to npvr.db3, they version you have on OneDrive can be your backup. 

When you have a few hours try and get v6 working with the Ceton.  It is possible using the Ceton proxy or OpenDCT but I agree is not trivial. Given that you are using obsolete h/w and and an unsupported version of NextPVR make sure you have better backups.

I am not opposed to upgrading to a current version, but when 5 was in beta  I tried to get it to work with my card and could not.
If you know of a guide or step by step instructions to setup the card with version 5 I would try it again...
