Hello,
I would appreciate some help.
I have an issue , which im sure its something that's gonna bite me in the face, with desktop app of nextpvr that doesnt let me scan channels.
I mean the whole "devices" tab just takes me to the web page and there i can find my dvb-t card and channels and everything works ok, but i remember back then i could use the desktop app to search for channels and everything was working like the web app does.
As is right now i can only watch my channels through the web app and not the desktop app, desktop app just hangs on "please wait"

That is the way that v5+ works. All of the server configuration is done through the web app.

So after i installed 3-4 previous versions all 4+ i noticed the following.
All versions were x86, i couldnt find any x64 anywhere. After the installations nextpvr wouldnt start at all and during the unistallation of the versions then the program would start but it was crippled, if i make sense.
At first i thought maybe its the x86 versions that do that but then i noticed program would hang due to the recording process.
So i just deleted manually the Nrecord.exe file and now it seems everything works but most probably i wont be able to record anything.
Anyone knows why this is happening or any workarounds?

You should not have done that you should reinstall

There is no migration from V4 so you need to reconfigure everything

NextPVR v5 (and above) is a multi-platform application, running on Windows/Linux/Mac etc, so all the important configuration activities, like scanning devices etc, is provided in the web app since it is available to all platforms. The NextPVR desktop client is Windows-only, so no point in providing this type of core activity there. Instead the desktop client app just provides setting relevant to the client, like decoders to use etc.

Yeah, of course it can. Device setup is done in the web app. After that you can watch in whatever client you want.
