On V4 during playback if Skip forward or backward was used, the skip was usually smooth and audio/video in sync.
On my new V6 build I'm seeing different behaviour (for which I'm getting verbal grief from the main system user[wife
])
When skip is pressed the playback jumps and audio starts but the video is out-of-sync for 2-5 seconds.
Sometimes when pressing skip, the playback freezes for 20-30 seconds then suddenly jumps to the correct point.
Obviously if playback hangs like this the user (not being technical) starts pressing buttons on the remote (thinking playback has been paused) and this leads to other issues.
I have the latest LAV (0.77.2) installed and selected for playback (which is pretty well the same as was in use on my old V4 system).
Are there any tweaks that I should make to the LAV config to improve this or is this likely to be a NVPVR issue?
I've had a look through the logs and can't see anything that looks odd around the Skip timings although I'll will get the wife to note the exact time when it happens again so I can extract the relevant section from the log if that will help.
