Occasionally the archive process causes a recording to disappear from the database and I have to use nexttool to recover the recording.
The recording file is moved along with the edl file to the network drive.
I don't see any errors in the log. The recordings are always moved. This one has an edl file where some I did successfully earlier don't (I may have reset the log since then).
Let me know if I can provide any further details or logs. I don't seem to have much issue reproducing it.

This is the relevant part of the first log:
2023-04-26 16:34:39.860 [DEBUG][28] Returning X-Activity: <activity>  <screen>Recordings</screen>  <url></url></activity>

The second log includes the re-import using nexttool.

Also, the attached screen shot is from my all recordings list. Episodes 1 & 2 show up under the series name with the colon in it. NextTool might be dropping the colon. I'll let Martin know if he doesn't see this.

Can I see the XML file that is used for the import? I don't see the line that it is reading one.

Martin,
I'm just doing it from the command line:
C:\Program Files\NextPVR>nexttool -import "\\NAS315\Public\videos\tv\Eva Longoria Searching for Mexico\Season 01"

Right, but the import process looks at the ts file plus the xml that NextPVR creates with <StoreSeparateMetadataXml>true</StoreSeparateMetadataXml> Without that file (or an nfo) it only uses the filename which can't contain a colon on Windows. If you have that setting maybe the xml file isn't be archived.

Martin,
Ok, the colon makes sense regarding nexttool. So the issue of the recording going missing from the database after archiving is still a mystery.

To be thorough, I should mention that I was using NLite from my desktop to archive the recordings.
