Is there a way to increase the timeout on NPVR when starting a live stream from an IPTV source?

Here's the problem...
I'm using a Sling TV subscription for live TV service (cable is not available in my location).
I've setup the Sling TV as a source in Channels DVR, and I can play the channels just fine through the Channels DVR interface.
In NextPVR, I've setup Channels DVR as an IPTV source. All the channels are listed including the guide data as expected.

When I try to play a channel, the action fails. I watch the Channels DVR console, I see NVPR request the stream, and it shows the channel number with "starting" - while it says starting, I get the fail message, then Channels DVR shows the stream started. If I immediately select the channel again in NPVR, it plays fine.

What it looks like is happening is the NPVR is giving up waiting for the stream to start too quickly and causing a failure error.

Is there a way to make NPVR wait just a *little* longer for the stream to start? Just another 2 seconds or so?

Can you post the logs, so we can see what happens?

If Channels isn't responding to the HEAD command the very first time you open each IPTV channel there is also a chance that it will fail in the web player. The next time the information on that channel is cached so it should be ok.

Other clients and recordings should be ok.

I'm not sure how to directly attach the log, so below is a link to it in my public OneDrive.
Edit: I figured out how to attach the log.

Right before downloading the log, I did the following:

Tried to play IPTV channel 6003.
Received failure.
Immediately selected channel again and sucessfully played.
Waited a few seconds then stopped playback and downloaded logs.

Log attached.

The problem repeats if I stop playback for a minute or so for the Channels engine stop the stream. If I try to play it again, the same problem even happens on the channel just watched.

The logs show these so the issue is more than timeouts

How long does it take to show one of these channels if you open the url in a player like VLC?

What does the m3u8 file look like?  When it works it does show h264/aac and after that NextPVR should use it's own downloader not ffmpeg

From what I can see, that would be a correct message. The stream it's trying to access doesn't exist yet because it's not waiting long enough for it to be created by the Channels DVR.
If I first start the stream anywhere else, such as in Channels DVR or VLC Player, then NPVR also plays it immediately because the stream has already started.
The problem comes with NPVR requests a stream that hasn't already been started and doesn't wait long enough for the on-demand live IPTV stream to start.

I think it does currently timeout if it doesn't hear back in like 8 seconds.

How long does it take to open these streams?
