Can't get update EPG to work properly

I used to have an E: drive where I recorded TV and updated the xmltv.xml file. So, the recording drive was at E:\ and the update EPG went to  [e:\EPG\xmltv.xml].  I subsequently lost that drive, so I changed the recording drive to C:\users\...\videos, and located the epg updater to C: drive. However, see picture, I can't get npvr to update the epg at the right location. If I put it on a thumb drive (that happens to become E) it works fine. But at the C path, it doesn't work. I delete the E location and remove the thumb drive and restart the service, and the E location channel lineup just keeps coming back like a bad penny. If I delete E and run with only the C lineup, it can't update. It seems to be forcing me to have the lineup on E for some reason, I can't figure out. what am I doing wrong?

First thing - don't put it in your user home directory. The NextPVR service is running as a different user account, so wont have access to that directory. You could put it somewhere like C:\EPG\xmltv.xml.

You need to use "Add XMLTV Channel Lineup", and add your new lineup. Then head over to the Settings->Channels tab, and probably do something like Advanced Tools -> Automap, to map your channels to your new xmltv lineup.

If that isn't working for you, let me know where your channels are coming from? (ie, a specific type of device, or IPTV etc).

I did what you said: relocated the epg folder to c:\, added the lineup (and deleted both the old paths), ran automap. It didn't work. And if I restart the service, the e: location still comes back like a bad penny.

I installed a new atsc tuner (the old one was burned), and copied the channel set to the new device, and deleted the old non-existent device. I know it works, because I can watch channels live. The device is a MyGica USB tuner, which was plug & play. The channels are OTA broadcast, which is coming from an antenna.

I'd like to know why nvpr is stuck on looking for xmltv.xml in e instead of the new location. Is there some other option that still has the old location? (if there is, I can't find it). Is there a hidden path I can't see that got copied with the channel set, that ties the channels to the old location in e? I can't imagine what purpose that would serve. But it's obvious the e:\epg path is still somewhere in the nvpr server.

Basically each channel has the file name of the xmltv file in it's configuration. If a channel is still pointing at the old file, it'll still be listed.

I always recommend setting to None first so that if some channels are not mapped as expected you can quickly tell.

Thanks guys, this worked. Now I understand; I needed to clear mapping first by automapping with no lineup, and then set the map location and automap to the new location.
