Hi there,

Thanks again for a great piece of software and support service on here.

I have NPVR running as I want on my unraid server and have created a reverse proxy to navigate to the webUI when away from home.

I would like to use the same reverse proxy address to access on the iOS/ATV apps but when I put in my address the port number is automatically added to the end of the address instead of the reverse proxy forwarding to the required port.

This causes the apps to fail to connect. Is there a way around this?

When you add the server name, you can add the port into the name.

ie

192.168.1.12:7777
0000

The issue is I dont want to specify any port.

I am using nginx proxy manager which is forwarding the address: npvr.mydomain.com to 10.10.20.1968:8866 of my npvr instance.

Are you saying in general terms that you don't want port 80 or 443 appended? Can you just use proxy_redirect in your config?

There is always port, since that is how tcp/http/internet work. As Martin says, npvr.mydomain.com typically implies port 80 for http, or port 443 for https. You'll need to explicitly add it, or NextPVR will assume you want the default port npvr.mydomain.com:8866

Thank you for the responses I understand now.

When I access my other proxy urls I dont add the port, NGINX handles that but adding port 80 to the end has allowed me to connect.

However SSL port doesnt work at all and port 80 connects but wont show any channels or guide, any thoughts on what Im doing wrong?

Adding port 443 isn't enough, perhaps the client is still using http.

For the http issue send the zipped logs.

It looks like your device is not getting a static IP for the session so NextPVR is rejecting the security token. Perhaps this is VPN, ISP, or nginx IP forwarding configuration related.

Really confused on this one. I have set the proxy up exactly as I have for other services on my network without issue.

I see the errors in the log as you describe but no idea where to start resolving Sad
