I've had problems recording Jeopardy! recently.  It happened a few times since I installed NextPVR several months ago, but only infrequently and with no consistency.  Most of the time Jeopardy! records normally and with no issues.  Now the same problem has happened two days in a row.  In every single instance the recording has started OK but then when I try to watch the recorded show later it simply will not play.  When I examine the files on my hard drive I find the truncated recordings always have exactly the same file size of 5,569KB ( they should be more like 1.5 ish GB).

In searching through the logs, the only error I find is this...

2023-09-26 19:29:27.439 [DEBUG][39] Request had range request
2023-09-26 19:29:27.439 [DEBUG][39] Requested Range: 0- (0 bytes)
2023-09-26 19:29:27.441 [ERROR][39] IsComplete(): Object reference not set to an instance of an object.


I don't know what "range request" might be or why it would be there.

Anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

No we can't help with that we need the full zipped logs.

Yes that confirms that you are seeing the IsComplete() bug. Sub should have a fix for it in the next build. Restarting the server and deleting the thumb an timing files might help

BTW: I didn't know there was such a bug. Is there a list of known/probable/possible bugs somewhere? Might save some traffic if there was a place to peruse a bug list.

Oh oh, it appears the truncated recordings problem has reared its head again.  Again it is when recording Jeopardy.  Altho I have had a few other programs that didn't fully record but those have been very rare occurrences.  The Jeopardy truncation problem has been popping up at least once or twice every week now for a few weeks.  The most recent time was on 3 April.  I can't spot the trigger but it does seem to be related to a range request but does not seem to be the same cause as the prior problem.  This is from the log and the zipped log is attached.  Please have a looksee...  Thanks!

Please just send the zipped files the web setting page creates for you. You are missing the most important logs.

It's funny that we also use nextpvr for jeopardy recordings. No trouble here with mine on win10 machine.
