You infer that a "general wildcard search" should find the data . I have only used : title like '%zzzzzzz%' or : title LIKE '%xxxxxxx%' AND description LIKE '%yyyyyy%' . In the second case the recording is only made if word yyyyyy appears in the description.
Under the Search page there is option to search the Subtitle text. Under "Add Manual Recording" with Keyword recording there are options to search "Title" "Title & Description" or "Cast & Crew" but no subtitle.
How is the "general wildcard search" implemented? However as I said this problem only happened twice or possibly three times last year!
