Connect to NextPVR from LAN

My NextPVR works fine on my hosting workstation.  Windows 10.

I can use the http://localhost:8866/index.html to connect to it.
What I would like to do is connect to it from my tablet, which also runs windows 10 and is on my LAN.

I've tried the ethernet IPV4 Address for the HTPC then the port number.

e.g. http://192.168.226:8866/index.htm

But I get an error "can't be reached".

Is it possible to open up NextPVR to work like this?
Do I need to change the firewall or something else to make this work?

It might just be a copy/paste error, but what you posted is not a complete IP address.  It should be something like 192.168.226.18 (instead of 18 whatever the last number is in your computer's IP address).

If, in fact, that was just a copy/paste error, then you might check the Windows firewall.  I think it's enabled by default in newer versions of Windows, and it might be blocking NextPVR from communicating with anything except the local machine.

I've got a similar problem. I'm trying to access the media server through one of the latest  LG webos tv's. The problem is it can't find it under the usual media server. This is also not appearing on the local network. Is there a setting to change to enable it to display as a media server generally or do I need something else. 

I'm finding I'm getting perfect streaming via the web interface on another network computer. One thing I forgot to say is the LG Web browser does say the next pvr website can't be loaded.
