I've just started using NextPVR - something (presumably a windows update) has stopped MediaPortal from working.  I've used MP for around 20 years, I think.  It worked till two weeks ago.  But when I scan in NextPVR two station groupings are not being found.  Is there any way I can target them?  Nothing has changed on my machine, apart from deleting and reinstalling MP, endlessly.  I have 4 Hauppuage WinTV 7164 tuners and they all show only 3 of the groupings I can receive here, not the other two.

When you scanned your DVB-T channels, did you choose your local transmitter, or 'Australia - All Regions'? Probably worth trying the latter. Probably a case of that specific tuning file being out of date for your region.

Otherwise, post the logs and we'll work out why those couple of channels are missing.

You didn't really provide enough information (logs tuner type etc) but in Windows the tuning files are stored in the "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\data\Tuning" and you can create your own.

There is this post that might help https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid588717 Sub suggested another folder, I didn't know NextPVR supports that too.

Originally I chose my closest large town.  Then I selected one further away - who knows where I was getting my signals from!  Finally I selected All regions - made no difference, no new channels.  What does "that specific tuning file being out of date for my region" mean?

How do I create logs to attach? And what more can I say about the tuners than I did?

By specific tuning file, I'd meant choosing one closest to your town from the list.

In the web app, on the Settings->About, there is a 'Log Files' button. It'll zip up your logs and download them to your Downloads directory. You can them attach them to a post here.

What are the names of the missing channels, and what frequency should they be on in your local area?

The government website MySwitch tells me I should get my signals from Newcastle.
I'm missing Prime 6, 62 and 63 578.5 MHz
and Channel 10 (or whatever they're calling themselves currently) 5, 55 and 50 606.5 MHz

In your logs, I could only see an attempt to scan "All Countries / All Regions"

Code:
2024-03-11 08:05:00.707    [DEBUG][51]    Got request [127.0.0.1]: /services/service (setting.scan.start)
2024-03-11 08:05:00.707    [DEBUG][51]    method=setting.scan.start
2024-03-11 08:05:00.708    [DEBUG][51]    parameters:
2024-03-11 08:05:00.708    [DEBUG][51]       method: setting.scan.start
2024-03-11 08:05:00.708    [DEBUG][51]       format: json
2024-03-11 08:05:00.708    [DEBUG][51]       source_id: 25
2024-03-11 08:05:00.708    [DEBUG][51]       region: All Countries / All Regions
2024-03-11 08:05:00.708    [DEBUG][51]       sid: bbf89965-86c0-4803-9a9f-d149b32b0123
2024-03-11 08:05:00.708    [DEBUG][51]       client_ip: 127.0.0.1
2024-03-11 08:05:00.708    [DEBUG][51]       user_agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:123.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/123.0 Config/92.2.2798.20
2024-03-11 08:05:00.709    [DEBUG][51]       host_callback: ...

Did you try "Australia / All Regions"? The reason I suggest this is there is a non-standard thing that Australia does with channel bandwidth that kind of requires you to scan with an Australian file.
