Need Help Setting Up NextPVR on Windows 10 - Any Tips?

Hey everyone,

I'm relatively new to NextPVR and I'm having some trouble getting everything set up on my Windows 10 system. I've installed the software, but I'm struggling with configuring my channels and getting everything to run smoothly.

Specifically, I'm having trouble with:

1. Channel scanning: I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly. How can I ensure that all my channels are being detected and configured properly?
   
2. EPG setup: I'm a bit confused about how to set up the Electronic Program Guide (EPG). Can someone walk me through the process step by step?
   
3. Remote access: I'd love to be able to access NextPVR remotely from my other devices. What's the best way to set this up on Windows 10?

Where are your channels coming from? ie, what type of device.

What EPG source are you wanting to use?

For my channels, I'm using a combination of sources. I have an HDHomeRun tuner connected to my network, which provides access to over-the-air channels. Additionally, I've set up IPTV channels using URLs from various online sources.

As for the EPG source, I'm interested in using XMLTV for my Electronic Program Guide. I've heard that it's compatible with NextPVR and provides comprehensive program information for a wide range of channels. Would you recommend XMLTV, or do you have another suggestion for an EPG source? geometry dash

For channel scanning you need to ensure your HDHR is configured and working with the Silicondust software. If you have problem with doing that the post on the Schedules Direct format. Once that is done you may find that you can get your EPG over the air

Worry about IPTV later, online lists don't necessarily provide stable streams.

After that your best bet is to read the NextPVR wiki https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki
