I have an issue with a certain set of channels not recording/playing back with a timeout error, however they play fine with other applications. These are 4K channels and some of them do have HLG HDR enabled so I am not sure if that is an issue. I was just wondering if you had any idea what could be causing this.
I have included the logs to help

TIA

How long does it take you to open those streams in other apps?

4 to 5 seconds. I made a recording and it tells me the video codec is HEVC and the audio is AC3 (I presume Dolby Digital due to the source)

Right I've worked it out to be a VPN issue (strange that it is just these particular channels that need it), not a NextPVR issue. Which programs do I have to select for tunelling since I don't want all my pc's traffic to be through the VPN just NextPVR

nrecord.exe, ntray.exe and nextpvr.exe need to be able to talk to each other, and nrecord.exe needs to be able to get to your IPTV service.

Potentially "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\Other\ffmpeg.exe" needs to talk to IPTV services too, especially for Live TV when you aren't using a Direct Play client (ie the web player). That could explain whey HEVC is failing.

True, though ffmpeg.exe would normally read from nrecord.exe. The only situation where it'll talk to the IPTV service is if it's a stream that NextPVR doesn't understand natively.

Even then ffmpeg still need to read http: from localhost for transcoding and m3u8 for the web player and timing file creation (it doesn't seem to be the problem here though)

The odd error for me is why it goes to ffmpeg after this

2024-05-24 22:16:30.827 [DEBUG][195] WebException: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

I wouldn't think a VPN error would return 404.

Hmmm. I have no nrecord.exe and I have tried setting the VPN to tunnel ffmpeg, ntray.exe and nextpvr.exe, separately and together and it is still getting blocked. If I turn tunnelling off and just have everything go through the VPN it works. I'll keep troubleshooting though thanks for all your help.

It might be NextPVRserver.exe
