hi new to nextpvr .. how do I set favorites ?   tried everything and don't see an icon for it.

In general NextPVR doesn't have Favourites but favourites would be a client setting anyway. Which client are you talking about?

If you want something generic on the Settings->Channels follow the instructions here https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Add...t-channels on setting up a group and you can call the group whatever you want.
