Hi,

I have a couple of devices running NextPVR and I noticed starting yesterday one of my devices now only shows an "All Channels" folder on the PVR live tv channels/guide? ....

It is a google tv device

Kodi Log File:
https://paste.kodi.tv/peluzexexa

NextPVR Log file attached as well as screenshots

I have checked settings in Group Manager and PVR Settings and I don't see how this happened? The other device still has all of the correct folders (USA, UK, Sports. etc.)?

You didn't include the server logs and that wasn't a Kod debug logs. How big is your channel list? NextPVR is taking a time to send it

2024-09-19 11:34:10.182 T:11691 error <general>: CCurlFile::CReadState::FillBuffer - (0xb23a49b0) Failed: Timeout was reached(28)

and you have set a likely too slow timeout in your advancedsettings.

<curlclienttimeout>5</curlclienttimeout>

Maybe try and increase the curl timeout, or reduce the size of your channel list.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Apparently you cannot access obb or data folders in Android TV now.

I'm not sure when or why they made this change but that is how I was going to update the curl timeout. I'll try and figure out a way to do that on that device

Like I said, not a huge thing considering it was the only device doing this.

"They" didn't make this change since advancedsettings.xml is a user file so not sure how it got there.

Easiest way is probably to use the Kodi "File manager" and if you don't think you created it go to the Profile folder find the file and delete it or rename it and restart Kodi.

I've tried a million ways to Sunday, I can't access those two folders specifically on Android anymore. "obb" and "data" folders. To delete or edit the xml.

I googled this and saw a few people recently post that there was a change made (security) to not allow access to those two folders even using any kind of file manager anymore or Android TV software.

In Kodi did you go to Settings->File Manager->Profile Directory and rename or delete it there?

Oh wow! ... Never even knew that was there in Kodi lol.

Ok, I deleted it from there. restarted, same results.

I'll have to find another way besides the curl timeout in the advanced settings.

It's so odd that it only happens on Google TV device and not on fire TV and my shield TV.

Thank you for guiding me there!

Awesome, ok, actually, it seems that worked. I now see all channel folders in Kodi after deleting the advanced settings file from file manager

Will this be something I should continuously do from time to time?

No you should never have to do this, the file is not created by Kodi. Perhaps you had a non standard build of Kodi or you forgot about adding it at some point.
