My database is now 1.5GB ??? It was 320Mb, and now its suddenly this huge size. I only have about 30-40 channels defined if that many. I presume this huge size is why GBPVR is not starting any more (only 14Mb free). ouch. Help

Actually let me be more accurately, GBPVR will not access the TV Guide, the error I guess is
13/05/2005 09:00:13.529 ERROR [87] Failure in ChannelFactory::getShowsInTimePeriod(): The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.

Reboot time ?

But why is the DB so large

Try this:
1. Stop the GBPVR service
2. Right click on the icon in the tray and select "close"
3. Open the database in Access
4. Select Tools-> Repair and Compress
5. Quit Access
6. Restart the tray executable (c:/program files/devnz/gbpvr/trayicon.exe) I think
7. Restart the GBPVR service

What's the size of the database file now?
Do you still have the same error?

Didn't realise trayicon also accesses it. Next time I'll kill that too. Rebooting cures the error.

But compressing it, the DB dropped from 1.5GB to a massive 7M.!!!!

I tried it on a backup, so yet to check its still ok, but it should be.
