Import guide data from HD Homerun tuner

Sorry if this has been addressed , i couldn't find the right search terms to pull anything relevant up.

Is there a way to use the guide data my HDHomeRun CONNECT 4K uses for nextpvr?  Seems it's more complete than zap2it.

I read some things about api access on the SD site but i don't think i have access to that with my model.

If you're talking about the guide data you get when you subscribe to the SiliconDust DVR service, then no. You can't import that. You are paying SiliconDust for that guide data, and I believe both technically and legally you can only use it in the SiliconDust DVR app. If you aren't subscribed to that, you can't get guide data for free from SiliconDust.

I'm going to make the same recommendation I always make for someone in the US. Pay the $30 or so a year and get the Schedules Direct subscription. It's very complete and NextPVR very easily uses it.

Actually all HDHR can get their guide data https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=64648 It does work on all platforms but I only documented it for Windows. It seems to work in any country where Silicondust has guide data too.

If you aren't a DVR subscriber you get 24 hours of data if you are a subscriber you get 2 weeks of data plus the data is richer. They both use data from Gracenote which is the source for Schedules Direct.

Got things installed but having an issue pulling data.

Cruising over to https://api.hdhomerun.com/api/xmltv?Devi...xxxxxxxxxx , with my real device id of course, gives me a 403 forbidden error.

digging through https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/view...hp?t=72813 , I don't see where it mentions that you are allowed any data if you don't subscribe.

Will be happy to redirect this discussion to the main thread if I'm missing something.

A 403 is expected in the app since it first tries the DVR account URL and then the 24 hour guide data. If running the command doesn't work yes post in the appropriate forum with the zipped NextPVR logs.
