Kodi Channel Icons wrong and can't be corrected

Hi there,

On Kodi for android, I just recently reorganized my channels in NextPVR and now all of the channel icons are wrong on the guide, and I can't find a way to correct them. Here's what I've done:

1. Gone to PVR / Client specific settings and tried 'Refresh cache for channel icons' and then after that 'Update all channels'

2. In PVR / General - used the 'Clear data' function and allowed the entire guide to be reloaded.

3. Uninstalled the entire NextPVR addon, restarted Kodi and reinstalled/reconfigured it.

4. Browsed the Kodi file system under profile directory to addon_data/pvr.nextpvr/. In this folder, there is a folder labelled '1' that has all the incorrectly numbered channel icons. I deleted this folder and refreshed the guide. The folder comes back again with incorrectly numbered icons. Same for a reinstall of the entire addon.

I am out of ideas for how to correct these channel icons. It seems like something from the NextPVR server is feeding the wrong data, and even with a complete wipe of Kodi (definitely don't want to do that) they'd come back the same again. HOWEVER, on the webUI, all channel icons are correct. I'm stumped. Can someone tell me what else I might try?

Sorry, edited my above post when I realized I didn't specify that initially. Yes. All icons are correct in the web guide.

I would try restarting the NextPVR service it feels like a cache issue.

Thanks for the speedy replies! Tried restarting the service, and then the whole box for good measure. No change to the behaviour in Kodi. Incorrect icons that don't match up still appearing.

Interestingly, it's only about the first quarter of the channels in the list. Beyond that point, everything has the correct icon.

Very strange behaviour that I can't figure out.

Do you have more than one NextPVR backend? Since Kodi and the web client use the same API call to get the icons I can't explain this. The only way I can see to look at this is if you zip up you NextPVR and Kodi databases (npvr.db3 and EPG??.db) and PM me a link. If you are using IPTV the database will have you credentials.

Nope, just one NextPVR backend running. I was about to send the requested files, but I just checked the Kodi client, and now ALMOST all the channel icons have turned over to what they're supposed to be. Only channels 2-9 are still incorrect. So I guess this is something that is slowly working its way out. Not sure why it's taking this long though!

Perhaps you have tons of unnecessary channels and it is just taking time to clean out the textures cache. You can check in the Texture??.db texture table and look at the lasthastcheck value for URL's

Nope, I've only got 348 channels mapped and coming through to NextPVR. The remaining channels caught up to their updated icons yesterday evening, so everything did correct eventually. I do have Kodi also installed on another system, and that one hasn't caught up yet, so I took a copy of the textures DB file from there. In that case, only maybe the last 5th of the channels have correct icons at this point.

Dumb question: How do I read the db file?

sqlitete3 and GUI versions will open them and npvr.db3

It is odd it is so slow. I think textures is used in a different way. Are you using Piers by any chance?
