I'm using the newest Windows 11 Pro upgrade on a Dell XPS-8960 with an Intel i9 processor and 64 GB of memory. I attempted multiple times to build a system image backup on USB hard drives, the second 1 TB hard disk on the system, and one of my network servers. For the first two, I consistently receive an error message indicating that the backup failed due to the erasure of the shadow copy on the source drive. I ran vssadmin resize shadowstorage /For=C: /On=C: /MaxSize=20% and tried again, but the issue persisted. When I tried to save to a network server location, I received an error stating that the selected network location could not be used. However, this server successfully stored the system image for my MSI laptop. I never had any trouble building the system image on my previous Dell XPS-8940.
