Does the current version of NPVR use C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\KeyMappings.xml

I don't seem to be able to change my keymapping behavior.  I tried changing the file name to .old , and everything was still mapped the same and NPVR didn't complain.  I then tried installing the latest version of NPVR and the installation didn't even create a new KeyMappings.xml file?

There actually is a new KeyMapping file because .Net 8 changed PageDown behaviour of so I think it works. Perhaps you have noticed the new skipping key behaviour some of which is not configurable? Maybe give use have an example of the mapping you want to change.

My ancient windows media center remote control issues CTRL SHIFT F for FastForward and CTRL SHIFT R for rewind.

So in keymappings.xml

I changed the lines:

<Key code="{CTRL}R" command="Rewind"/>
<Key code="{CTRL}F" command="FastForward"/>

to

<Key code="{CTRL}{SHIFT}B" command="Rewind"/>
<Key code="{CTRL}{SHIFT}F" command="FastForward"/>

but this didn't affect behavior.  Nor do I find making any change in KeyMappings.xml changes behavior.  For example, If I just change it to a "G" instead of an "F" to test the "F" command still works on my keyboard.  Should that have worked?  How do I know if NPVR is even reading KeyMappings.xml the install didn't put in NVPR-data is the file now located somewhere else?

I see now the problem. The file location moved, and I was moving it where it logically used to be.

Its not in \Public\NVPR-Data

The file is now in:

\Program Files\NextPVR\data\

There are some defaults hardcoded so don't test the F. G and {CTRL}{SHIFT}F both worked here

It is however not in NPVR-data it is in "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\data"
