Last night I watched a recording using the NextPVR plugin on Kodi Omega, running on a FireTV stick. Today, I noticed that the backend was not running and the following were the last entries in the terminal:
Code:
[127] Got request [10.0.100.151]: /service (session.logout)
[127] parameters:

Killed: 9

Did the frontend tell the backend to shut down?

No. I hate snippets but I expect you just closed Kodi.

You have to find what app issued the sigkill (that 9) maybe you were just running in user space and closed the terminal.

I did close Kodi. I just quit Kodi and went to sleep. And my NxtPVR backend shut down, apparently at the same time, with the message "Killed: 9". There's no timestamp, but the log closed around the same time.

Nobody touched the computer running the backend and I can't imagine what app would be sending kill commands to dotnet. The terminal was not closed. The snippet I sent was what was on it when I looked at it after I noticed the backend was not running.

The odd thing is that the backend appears to have been shut down by a -9 kill command. I didn't send a kill command. In any event the backend should not be closing down spontaneously.

Right that logs is just Kodi closing, but there is nothing to indicate the sigkill came from NextPVR. It certainly isn't a Kodi issue.

There isn't much info on running NextPVR as a service on macOS but this might help https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid578589

That launch agent and script don't run NextPVR as a service. They just launch it in a terminal window on login.

I am going take a shot at setting NextPVR up to run as a service that stays alive even after ghosts send it kill commands. First I want to do a bit more research to satisfy myself that there is a frontend that works for me, however.
