New posts

With some recent change on the the New Posts logic has changed.  Before I could see all messages in one day based on storing a sid, now New Posts is truly New posts and if you open a post it will disappear.  It makes it almost impossible to do a quick scan of all new posts.

Is there anyway to change this back to the old behaviour?

I haven't deployed any mybb updates for the last couple of months, or done any configuration changes, so not sure why it would have changed.

I suspect it was tied up with the regular mybb job not running, which would cause email notifications to go out...I don't think we want to turn that one back off unfortunately.

I agree I just know I will now overlook some posts. Maybe you can set how many hours New Posts will go back?

I looked at every setting, but unfortunately can't see anything that looks like it might be related to this.

It looks like the 'new posts' is based on the account lastvisit

That daily URL will do the trick when I can login daily, thanks. I never used New Post before but I could bookmark it and it would be something like this

That spanned sessions and even days but now that sid is getting invalidated.
