Apple TV loses connection to NPVR on MAC

I've got two issues i'm dealing with. 

1st- When I'm watching a show using the NPVR app on ATV, it will randomly freeze. I force close the app, then it can't find the server any longer on my mac. I go to my mac and restart the service and can get back in business but it's not optimal. 

2nd- I'm having issue with EPG. looking at log it looks like the UpgradeEPG script file is missing. Do i need to reinstall?

NextPVR doesn't provide any scripts they are user created so reinstalling won't help.

There appears to be a client issue responding to discovery I don't think your Mac is frozen. Also this is odd

I ended up deleting my iptv device and re-adding. It was then able to load EPG
