With the replacement satellite for NZ, should NextPVR pick it up OK. Its been suggested (in Geekzone) that I should add ' this new transponder 12530H SR 3000'. Any thoughts please ?

I don't know what that means since it is incomplete.

This has more info but I don't know what the roll off means https://cdn.matchmaster.com.au/downloads...r-2025.pdf

Based on that and Lyngstat maybe create this tuning file?

Code:
[SATTYPE]
1=1600.0
2=Koreasat 6 (160.0E)

[DVB]
0=4
1=12485,V,22500,45,DVB-S2,QPSK
2=12530,H,22500,45,DVB-S2,QPSK
3=12454,V,22500,34,DVB-S2,QPSK
4=12650,H,30000,23,DVB-S2,QPSK

I am guessing the V since it wasn't showing anything.

The rolloff and pilot should be detected automatically by the tuner. If it's not, and you're using a Hauppauge device, there is some other stuff that can be specified on in these ini tuning lines to explicifitly set these values.

Unfortunately LNB has turned into a lump of rust, so I'm not able to check it at this stage.

Thanks for the help. This seems to work to me (after not very extensive testing) -

[SATTYPE]
1=1600.0
2=OPTUS D1 FTA (160.0E)

[DVB]
0=4
1=12485,V,22500,45,DVB-S2,QPSK
2=12530,H,30000,45,DVB-S2,QPSK
3=12454,V,22500,34,DVB-S2,QPSK
4=12650,H,30000,23,DVB-S2,QPSK

Might be worth sending your logs so we can se if it locks all 4. Seems my guess for V was wrong based on this thread https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?fo...=4#3364387

I would also change line 2 since it is not Optus D1 anymore.

Martin.

Can send logs but not sure which ones. I seem to have 7 from about the time I was playing with this.

I changed the name to Optus cause I tried it with Koreasat first and it seemed to completely ignore the file. Changing it to Optus seemed to get it to be used. This could of course be because I had no idea what I was doing.
