Hi Folks, I've never had an issue getting Nextpvr to run within Kodi. I've just built a new PC, installed the latest Kodi, Nextpvr for windows 11, configured the devices in the web client nextpvr, and nothing plays. My tuner can pick up channels, Ive deleted ones I don't want and set to be primed, they've loaded fine into kodi nextpvr addon, but nothing (one or more items failed to play.

If I try either the web client or the windows nextpvr, I get streaming failed transcoder exited, in windows nextpvr, nothing happens. I've been researching this and came across lav decoders as being necessary, so  I installed the latest lav filters, went to settings in the windows version and under the decoder section I selected lav for everything, video is set to my marantz avr. Still nothing plays. My firewall isn't blocking it.

So can someone tell me what I need to do, to get my channels to play in kodi again? I've attached the log files from the npvr web client.

Thank you in advance.

Not sure if I've attached the log twice!

Do you have two dual tuner cards or a quad?. I see 4 tuners and it looks like only the first device is working. If it is two check the antenna connection to tuner 2.

Yeah, I'd agree. Looks like no signal on device #2, which is the one being chosen when you try to watch a live tv channel.

Thanks for the prompt replies. I have Hauppage quad tuner (internal). So I tried he ariel lead in the TV, and TV plays, so it's not the ariel. Next I installed the complete wintv app and drivers, scanned for channels, and this now works. So I went back to the npvr local host and re scanned for channels, which it finds, but again when I go to play anything the transcoder exits. Device manager states the device is working properly. I've attached new logs. I'm wondering is the tuner buggered? But would only 1 tuner work if so?

Looking at the logs, I would have a few comments.

Your 2nd tuner is not locking a signal when tuned so any attempt to use it will fail.
Tuner 1 is locking a signal and you do appear to be getting EPG data via Tuner 1. You are however scanning multiple frequencies for the EPG data and this is not usually necessary as UK broadcasts normally have the complete EPG on every frequency. I would suggest disabling EPG collection for all but the first frequency. This should speed up EPG collection/update.

I would also suggest disabling tuners 2-4 and attempting playing a channel on tuner 1 (whilst NOT doing an EPG update). If this works, I would suspect tuner 2 may be defective.
You could test each tuner individually by disabling the others and leaving just one enabled to see if it works.

On the subject of the LAV decoders. It's important that LAV 32bit is installed (not LAV64bit) for use with the NextPVR client setup.

Given that it is the quad you are right it is not the external connection and I expect @Bobins' suggestion would work but leave with you just 2 tuners.

Maybe reinstall the Hauppauge drivers for the devices to see if that helps. If not could you run FilterCheck https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/FilterCheck and sub might be able to see something in the logs.

Thanks again for the replies. I did reinstall the drivers and wintv,. How do I disable one tuner at a time? In device manager, I've two entries for the quad tuner, it's down as two dual tuners (both are working properly, I can right click, properties, and disable one of the dual tuners, but I'm not sure how to individually disable them.

Hold the control key and more options appear as explained on the wiki https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Add...e-settings

When you have a chance to get the FilterCheck log Sub might see something there.

So I disabled tuners 2 and 4 and voila npvr worked  from the web client and kodi. So I enabled tuner 2, just to see and it still worked, so 1-3 seem to be ok, and if 4 is enabled nothing works. I assume it's fine just to leave it like this? I've added the recent log files.
