No recording after Windows 11 Update

No recording after Windows 11 Update

NextPVR stopped doing scheduled recording and was also unable to do a live viewing of programs selected via the program guide.

It tried to view a couple scheduled recordings but they all ended up in the Failed Recordings folder and refuse to play.

I found this in the logs (note, these logs were captured before several of the scheduled recordings failed but the reason seems pretty clear)...

"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"

Anyone else have this problem after today's Win 11 update?

It's normal that you can't play a failed recording. I'm guessing it is firewall or VPN related.

The question is not why can't I play a failed recording.
The question is why are recordings suddenly failing (after the latest Win11 update) when everything was working well the day before.
I'm wondering if it has to do with my Hauppauge Quad USB tuner but the drivers all say the device is working.

So you don't think it is firewall or VPN related? The request to start the recording didn't get far enough to start the tuner.

Installed the following updates this morning :-

2025-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11, version 25H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5066835) (26200.6899)
2025-10 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 25H2 for x64 (KB5066128)
2025-10 .NET 8.0.21 Security Update for x64 Client (KB5068331)

NPVR no longer detecting Hauppauge Win TB dual HD tuner.

Could you send the logs @hansol123 the OP's devices were being detected.

Devices detected approximately 5 minutes after pressing rescan but dprogram stuck at starting device.

Those show it finding the device. I just installed the patch Tuesday update here and basically saw the same thing and thought it was firewall related I had to go and add DevicheHostWindows.exe to pass through the firewall but it still didn't work. Even without the firewall disabled.

Did you guys change the NextPVR service or is it running as Local System?

I have not changed service.
Running as local system.
