Devices Disappeared

Everything was fine yesterday. Today, the devices have disappeared.  Re-scanned devices multiple times.  Update to the latest software.  Still no devices. Log file attached.

Every time there is a Windows update with reboot, the tuners become disabled. I'm using Hauppage Dual Tuner. It's frustrating, because the recording fails, and especially frustrating when I really wanted the recording, but it's not available any more.

Then I have no way of telling when an update happened, or even if I knew it happened, I never think of resetting the service. But to fix it, this is what I have to do:
1. Unplug the tuner USB cable, and replug - this makes it work again, as it seems to be resetting the driver.
2. Then go into task manager, find NextPVR Service, and restart it.

I think the issue is that when Windows restarts, something is happening to make the driver fail, and that causes the NextPVR service to stop working. So both of them have to be reset, in that order.

Later I plan to read the other threads and see if it can be fixed automatically. I've already tried to give myself an alert whenever there is a reboot in task scheduler, but I couldn't get it to work.

If you have an ongoing issue it could simply be a timing issue with the NextPVR startup and the driver startup

- You can tun of f the scan for device on the main setting screen and NextPVR won't disable tuners.
- On the NextPVR server change it to (Delayed Start)

Tks, it seems to have fixed the problem (turning off scan for device).
