Well....I am 1/2 way through my upgrade of my PC. I took care of the most important moves first....e-mail and then GBPVR, my video library and the two PVR-150's to my new machine.

Just wanted to state I am having no issues running GBPVR with the Athon 64 3200+ running Windows XP Pro SP2 (32-Bit). Big Grin

I have also added a second switch between the MVP and the GBPVR server. They are gigabit switches and there seems to be no issues there either.

tipstir....I know you had a post here last night and I was responding when it appeared that the forums locked up....since it is not here today I am assuming there was an issue and your post was lost.....however.....being the resourceful guy I am I saved my response off-line since I did not want to re-type it. Smile

PC Info:
I am running at 2Ghz bus speed with the 3200+. The board I bought supports dynamiic overclocking which I haven't experimented with. The processor has 512K cache. I got the latest core version which now includes the SSE3 Instruction set. I had Monarch Computers (I have been using these guys for years) put together a motherboard combo of the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum board, the Athlon 64 3200 + and a gig of memory. They put it together and test and send it too you assembled with 90-day warenty. Well worth the $3 I would have saved if I would have put these parts together myself. I got all the other system parts from Newegg.

Network Info:

Using NetCPS I am able to get an average of 3MPS(Megabits Per Second) from my laptop over 802.11a wireless. This is about 3 Megabytes of data per second over wireless.

From new PC to old PC over hardwired network the average is 20 MPS. This means I am averaging about 20 Megabytes of data per second on the wired network. It took 5 seconds to transfer 100 Megabytes of data from machine to machine. Big Grin
