Is it possible that when GBPVR is recording now, to have something change in the GBPVR skin to alert me not to change the channel on the cable box?

For example in the skin\Blue\panels\NextRecording.xml

I have the following line:

<DrawRoundedRect loc="5,5" size="485,60" radius="5" borderWidth="1" borderColor="Transparent" fillColor="DarkBlue"/>

Maybe this could switch to "DarkRed" when GBPVR is recording?

It does say 'Now recording' on the main menu when its recording. Its not possible currently to change the colour when this happens.

Actually the 'recording now' is part of the recording soon loop. So if you want to know if you can change the channel, you have to wait until it goes through the whole loop to see that something is recording. You also have to read each one & wait until you see the oldest/newest recording.

It'd be nice if there were some quick way to look at the GBPVR screen to know you're recording. Kinda like a VCR that has that red button when recording.

I'm almost surprised that (if this isn't a main feature) no one hasn't made a 'hack' or plug-in for it. It seems pretty useful for those without a dedicated cable box.
