Still trying to get the new release to install and wondering if our/my problems aren't related to Windows patches. I hadn't patched in a while but did get current last week. Can we get some feedback from both the sucsessfull and unsucessfull as to how current their machines are?

I'm running XP with all patches applied.

Since the logs seem to indicate its having a problem with installing the recording service, maybe those having a problem with the upgrade can try uninstalling it manually first. It might help.

Code:
cd C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\
installutil /u "c:\program file\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVRRecordingService.exe"

Had it working great and I was excited about the new version - and then it bellied-up on me Sad

I installed yesterday, and everything was honky-dory. Then I went into the configuration tool for the first time since the upgrade, and it started an installation process of some kind. After that, I also lost my recording sources and all the associated information; scheduled & repeat recordings, channels & numbers, all previous recordings (Video Archive to the rescue so no past recodings unavaliable)

I tried restoring the copy I made before the upgrade, but same thing happened. Well - now I have reentered everything again for the 2 tuners, so now

SUB: I saved the full directory with logs and all. Can you use any of it for diagnostics?

The same happened to me, not a great hassle but I have now made a back up.

Sub - One thing I just noticed, which is more of a missing feature than a bug, is the fact that my ATSC recorded shows appear on the Media MVP as watchable shows. If I try to watch one of the shows it crashes the MVP media server. I know it's not supposed to work at all but I thought you should be aware. Might need to add some code to hide these shows.

Sub,

CTRL-R for rewind does not work in this release Sad CTRL-F still works though.

Thanks,
Paul

ctrl-d is now used for rewind, to remove the conflict between the red button and rewind butotn.
